Iron Ark PLLC · The Iron Ark Method
Large cases, built to be tried.
Underwrite · build · litigate · try
Iron Ark PLLC takes on large business cases – claims running to eight and nine figures, often against the best-funded companies and law firms in the country – on contingency, flat fees by phase, or hybrid terms. The Iron Ark Method is how we run them. Before we commit, we underwrite the case the way an investor underwrites a deal: the liability theory tested against the documents, a real damages model, the defendant’s ability to pay, and a budget weighed against a realistic recovery. Then we build it for trial from the first day – the theory, the experts, the record – and staff it with senior lawyers, adding network counsel for scale where the case needs it. Excellent lawyers, seasoned judgment, and our proprietary AI process give a small, senior team the reach of a much larger firm, and keep its time on what decides the case. Before Iron Ark, our lawyers’ matters included a securities-fraud trial that ended in a unanimous jury verdict estimated at more than $9 billion.
How the Iron Ark Method runs on a large case
Underwrite. Liability tested against the documents, damages modeled with real economic rigor, collectability confirmed, and the litigation budget weighed against a realistic recovery. We turn down more cases than we take.
Build. The theory of the case, the damages experts, and the document strategy are set early, so discovery serves the trial – not the other way around.
Litigate. Senior lawyers take the key depositions and argue the motions. Network counsel add local admission, specialists, and capacity for document-heavy phases, under lead-team review.
Try. Every large case is prepared to be tried. That is what makes settlement discussions serious – and what leaves the case ready when they fail.
Where we invest – and where we don’t
On a large case, we move fast to the documents and witnesses that decide the case, then runs toward depth: the damages model, the experts, and the record a court will see. It runs away from motion practice that doesn’t move the outcome and discovery fights that only generate hours.
How it is priced
Contingency, flat fees by phase, or a hybrid, set out in writing before work begins. The engagement letter states who pays costs and expenses.
Common questions
Can a boutique take on a large firm in a nine-figure case?
Yes. Senior lawyers own the strategy, the depositions, the motions, and the trial, and our network adds local counsel, specialists, and capacity when a case needs it. Large cases turn on preparation, judgment, and the right capacity – not permanent headcount.
Do you take large business cases on contingency?
Yes, when the liability theory holds up against the documents, the damages can be proven, and the defendant can pay. We underwrite each case before accepting it.
What is the Iron Ark Method?
Three things working together: excellent lawyers, judgment honed over decades of high-stakes disputes, and our proprietary AI process. Together they give a small, senior team the reach and speed of a much larger firm, with a fraction of the headcount. On a large case, the Method moves quickly to the documents and witnesses that decide it, then directs the investment – the damages model, the experts, and the record the court will see – to what moves the outcome.
The stakes are large. The work should be focused.
